Manoto is an international free-to-air Persian language general entertainment channel launched in October 2010 that is owned by Marjan Television Network Ltd. , which was established by Kayvan Abbassi and Marjan Abbassi. It is based in London and its programs include documentaries, films, series, news and reports.

Manoto's viewership rates are difficult to determine; however, anecdotal reports about the channel's ubiquitous popularity suggests that it has gained rapidly in market share to rival more established satellite channels like BBC Persian and VOA Persian TV. According to a BBC report in 2008, these channels may be watched by at least 30 percent of households inside Iran. Iranian TV has suggested Manoto TV is financed by The Pentagon.

Manoto's funding comes from venture capitalists, according to a 2011 report on human rights and information access in Iran by the Foreign Policy Centre, a UK-based independent think tank. The report did not name the venture capital firms behind the station. However, many Iranian analysts believe that the channel is promoting Iran's ousted monarchy purposefully.

Kayvan and Marjan Abbassi, the UK-based Iranian couple who launched Manoto 1, in 2010, stay out of the media spotlight. They and other Manoto 1 officials have usually declined to comment for their company and TV channel despite repeated requests for interviews.

Manoto TV can be downloaded via six satellite signals in Iran, the Middle East, Europe, North Africa and West Asia.

Iran International is a British-based Persian television station funded by Saudi investors. It is aimed at Iranian viewers and broadcasts free-to-air by satellite. The channel has received media attention for its reporting on human rights violations, political developments, LGBTQ+ rights and women's rights in Iran and has twice been nominated for International Channel of the Year by the Association for International Broadcasting.

Iran International's news and analysis has been cited in global media publications including BBC News, The Guardian, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Telegraph, Fox News, The Independent and more. Staff at Iran International have also appeared as experts on BBC Radio 4, Sky News, ABC Australia and ITN.

Iran International is available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Ireland, Europe and North Africa, with bureaus in Istanbul, Paris and Washington D.C.

Iran International was established in 2017 and is available online, via radio and via every satellite broadcasting to Iran.

Iran International was launched in May 2017, with the aim of serving the 80million people that live in Iran and the Iranian diaspora around the world, in addition to informing and educating a global audience on the latest news and developments in Iran and across the Middle East.[35]

The channel is headquartered in London and broadcasts internationally, with a team of journalists that have joined Iran International from other Persian-language news channels including Manoto, Radio Farda, BBC Persian Service and Voice of America.

Since its inception, Iran International has reported on global events, with a network of international correspondents. This has included reporting on notable events including the 2020 United States Presidential election, the 2020 Beirut explosion, Pride in London, the assassination of Jamal Kashoggi and the assassination of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh in December 2020.
