Manorama News is a free-to-air Malayalam-language news channel operated by Malayala Manorama Television (MMTV). The channel, based at Aroor, near Alappuzha, was launched on 17 August 2006. Malayala Manorama Television (MMTV) was established in 2005 as a subsidiary of the Malayala Manorama Group.

Johny Lukose is the current News Director of Manorama News. Romy Mathew and Pramod Raman are the Coordinating Editors of the channel (Heads the Input and Output Functions respectively).

Malayala Manorama Group also operates the Malayalam OTT platform ManoramaMAX.

Mangalam TV is a 24 hours Malayalam satellite news channel headquartered in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

On its launch day,Mangalam TV, aired a telephonic audio clip in which Transport Minister AK Saseendran is allegedly heard speaking in a sexually explicit way to a person,whom the channel claimed was a housewife.Saseendran resigned as minister the same day. Interestingly, it was Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan who had inaugurated the channel launch.

Later, the channel CEO Ajith Kumar apologised and admitted that it was a sting operation done using a woman journalist of the channel after having denied it earlier.

On April 4, the CEO and four mediapersons of the channel were arrested by the police for airing “obscene conversation” and criminal conspiracy.

Later, Saseendran was acquitted in the case after the complainant, who had earlier alleged sexual harassment turned hostile in court and he returned as minister.

Lok Sabha TV is an Indian cable television network channel from Government of India that offers coverage of central government proceedings and other public affairs programming.Its remit is to make accessible to all the work of the parliamentary and legislative bodies of India. The channel broadcasts live and recorded coverage of the Lok Sabha (lower house of Parliament) while Rajya Sabha TV covers the sessions of the Rajya Sabha (upper house of Parliament).

Select Parliamentary proceedings have been telecast in India since 1989, when the President's address to Parliament was shown on live television. After 1994 the Question Hours of both Houses were broadcast live on alternate weeks on both satellite television and All India Radio. The broadcasts were scheduled to ensure that on a given week proceedings in both Houses were aired, one on TV and the other on radio.

In 2006, DD Lok Sabha was replaced by Lok Sabha TV (LSTV), a 24-hour TV channel broadcasting in Hindi and English, which is owned and operated entirely by the Lok Sabha itself, broadcasting live the proceedings of the Lok Sabha and also various cultural and educational programs and panel discussions, when the Lok Sabha is not in session.

Lok Sabha TV is a must-carry channel in India, and all television service providers (Direct to Home as well as cable TV providers) must carry this channel, as mandated in the advisory issued by the Indian government in 2015 and still in force.
