Rai 3 (until May 2010 known as Rai Tre) is an Italian free-to-air television channel owned by State broadcaster RAI. It was launched on 15 December 1979 and its programming is centred towards cultural and regional programming. It has always been considered the most left-leaning channel of Italian public television; its direct competitor to Mediaset's Rete 4.

In the Aosta Valley, Rai 3 broadcasts some programmes in French language, about less than three hours a week.

In the Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol region, Rai Sudtirol timeshares broadcast hours with Rai 3 when not broadcasting..

In Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, Rai 3 Bis (TDD Furlanija Julijska Krajina) is a separate channel which broadcast daily from 18:40 with a half-hour daily newscast in Slovene language, and other shows in Slovene. In accordance with a bilateral cooperation agreement between Italy and Slovenia, Slovene-language shows produced by Rai 3 Bis are also aired on the Slovenian regional television channel TV Koper-Capodistria and on State-owned TV Slovenija 2.

Radio Italia TV is an Italian music television channel, owned and operated by Gruppo Radio Italia (which own also Radio Italia Solo Musica Italiana), available on the digital terrestrial television network in Italy since 2011. On 31 December 2012 Video Italia ceased broadcasting and merged with the digital terrestrial channel Radio Italia TV.

Specialized in easy listening Italian music, Radio Italia TV was launched on April 2004, but has been closed in 2005 and survived as syndication network along with its satellite counterpart when was closed in July 2009. The channel was re-launched in 2011 by its owner, again on the digital terrestrial television network.

Nove is an Italian general entertainment cable television channel owned by the Discovery, Inc. Originally known as Deejay TV, the channel was renamed and its logo redesigned on 22 February 2016. It offers programming aimed to appeal to the general audience and made available through Italian cable television system channel 9 ("nove" in Italian means "nine").

The channel was acquired by Discovery Italia following the agreement with Gruppo L'Espresso occurred January 22, 2015 for the sale to the latter of All Music S.p.A.

With the move to Discovery Italia, channel schedule changes radically, with the airing of programs and documentaries have been broadcast on DMAX, Real Time and Focus, films and some sporting events while keeping up in February 2016 the old name Deejay TV (of which L'Espresso Group maintains ownership of the brand) and the show Deejay Chiama Italia (still on the air).

On 9 September 2015 the channel undergoes a restyling and the new slogan is "In caso di noia premere 9". In particular, the new graphics are entirely focused on the number Nine, namely the LCN of the channel.

Since February 22, 2016 the channel changed its name to Nove (as already seen in the idents) making the old Deejay TV logo smaller and the web portal became nove tv.

On October 26, 2018 the HD channel 509 was pulled from digital terrestrial leaving only the SD channel on its place which unlike the HD counterpart it only carries the single Italian audio the HD version still remains available on satellite in both Italian and English audio.

Motor Trend is an Italian automotive interest television channel owned by Discovery Networks Italia.

 The channel began broadcasting on 29 April 2018, replacing Focus after the end of that brand licensing agreement, which was taken over by Mediaset.

On 1 April 2019, Motor Trend was converted in HD on satellite.

On 21 December 2019, Motor Trend replaced Alpha on channel 59 of DTT. On channel 56, it was replaced by HGTV on 2 February 2020.

m2o TV

m2o TV is a musical web TV produced by Elemedia belonging to GEDI Gruppo Editoriale . The head of the issuer is Gianluca Costella.

m2o TV was switched on on 26 March 2013 on the digital terrestrial platform in the Rete A 2 mux on LCN 158 (position previously used by Radio Capital TiVù ). For about a month, the broadcaster broadcast, on repeat, a series of mixed video clips and promos announcing the channel's upcoming departure.

On 24 April 2013, the rotation of single video clips (including presentation graphics) begins and a new animated logo is introduced which alternates the logo of the relative radio with that of m2o TV.

The official launch of the channel takes place on 21 June 2013. For this occasion, they are aired, between 13 and 18 and between 20 and 22, the music video of the same songs that are transmitted on the affiliated radio .

From 24 December 2013 the first program called Mix non stop was broadcast , which lasted 24 hours on 31 December 2013 .

From 1 October 2016 m2o TV will be broadcast exclusively on Sky Italia on channel 712 and in streaming on the internet, while from 1 January 2019 it will leave Sky broadcasting only in streaming on the radio website .
